Adcreative.ai Review: Is AI the Future of Ad Creation?
Online ads are more important than ever. However, it can take a lot of time to generate text and images for all the various ad platforms online, each of which requires different amounts of content in different formats.
To reach the maximum possible audience, you might need to write headlines for Google Ads, generate square images for Instagram, product photos for Google Shopping, and videos for YouTube.
Enter Adcreative.ai, an AI-powered platform designed to make it easier and quicker for marketers to generate advertising content. But does it work?
Let’s take a look at the features Adcreative.ai offers and whether they are actually useful to a busy marketer.
What is Adcreative.ai?
Adcreative.ai is a platform designed for advertisers to create ad visuals and ad copy optimised for various ad platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads.
It promises to make ad creation simpler and quicker, especially when working at scale. This would make it particularly useful for agencies managing multiple clients, but it would also be a handy tool for an individual business looking to scale their existing advertising campaigns to a new platform without doubling their workload. The key features of Adcreative.ai are…
AI-Generated Ad Creatives
Adcreative.ai uses AI to generate ad visuals that conform to your brand identity and the requirements of different ad platforms.
Ad Copy Suggestions
Adcreative.ai can also create compelling ad copy. You provide your website URL and some information about the products or services you want to advertise, and it will generate ad headlines and descriptions for you.
In practice, I’ve found that this is very useful and gives better suggestions than the similar features within platforms like Google Ads, although sometimes the brand voice can be inconsistent and needs some tweaking after the fact.
Performance/Compliance Score
One standout feature is the predictive performance and compliance scores. Each creative is assigned a score based on what adcreative.ai predicts its potential effectiveness will be. This helps users select the best option for their campaigns.
The compliance checker helps you check text and image assets against the policies for each platform. This is in my opinion one of the most useful features despite not being as flashy as some of the other AI creation tools. While the platforms themselves can tell you whether you are in violation of their policy, they can only do so after the fact, and after multiple flags for policy violations, your account might be penalised.
The platforms themselves are also quite vague in their feedback – often telling you only that you are in violation and not why – while adcreative.ai also tells you what changes you need to make to be in compliance.
Integrations
Adcreative.ai can integrate with most of the major ad platforms allowing you to publish your generated assets directly to your ad campaigns without having to export and upload them manually.
How Adcreative.ai Works
Let’s take a look at how you can create ad assets in Adcreative.ai
Creating A Brand Profile
You start by uploading information related to your brand. This is kind of like a style guide for all future assets you will make using the adcreative.ai platform. You can upload these manually or enter your URL and have Adcreative.ai scrape them from your website.
You can set your…
- Brand name
- Description of your company
- Logo
- Company colours
You can create multiple brands under a single user – which is useful for agencies wanting to use Adcreative.ai to manage multiple clients’ campaigns.
Projects
Once you have created a brand, you can create a Project. Projects are another name for ad assets. They can be images, videos, or text.
While you can create these individually, the easiest way to get started is to select “Ad Package”. This will give you a set of ad assets tailored to your campaign platform and goal. For instance, you could ask it to create a Google Ads campaign based around getting signups for a free consultation or an Instagram campaign based around offering a free trial.
You can then choose an image size and stock or paid images to use (or scrape images from your website) and Adcreative.ai will generate image + text based on what it predicts will be the most effective at delivering the advertising goal you selected.
It will generate a variety of asset options for you to choose from and will give each a conversion score out of 100.
This conversion score is a little misleading as a name as 100/100 conversion score would imply that 100% of people who saw the ad would convert. That said, it is true that the higher the conversion score, the more likely the asset is to convert. Choose the best-performing creatives based on the predictive performance score.
You can publish the generated creatives directly to your ad platform of choice or you can download and upload them manually.
Product Photos & Videos
Adcreative.ai allows you to create professional-looking product images. You start by adding a single image of your product. This works best if there is a blank background, but it can remove the background if this is not the case.
You can choose a preset background to add to your images.
Or you can ask for a custom background.
This is a fantastic way to create product advertising assets at scale. A single photo of a product can be reused in various settings without the need to take new photos every time. You can adjust the backgrounds and photo dimensions to match the platform you are advertising on.
The same process can also be applied to create product videos.
Pros and Cons of Adcreative.ai
Pros
- Time-Saving:
The biggest advantage of Adcreative.ai is the time-saving. While it takes some time to get everything set up and connected to your platforms in the first place, once everything is in place it can take minutes to create ad assets that would take hours to create manually. The more ad campaigns you are managing, the more time you can save. This frees you up to focus on strategy and refinement rather than creating assets.
- Cost-Effective:
Hiring graphic designers and copywriters can be expensive, especially for small businesses or start-ups. AI-driven tools like Adcreative.ai can save money on this and allow a single advertising manager to do the work of several people.
- User-Friendly:
The Adcreative.ai platform is incredibly easy to use, especially compared to the experience needed to use Adobe Photoshop or After Effects. Once the profiles are set up, it’s only a few clicks to create dozens of assets.
Cons
- Limited Design Flexibility:
While the tools it offers are convenient, Adcreative.ai offers far less flexibility in design compared to the infinite possibilities that are made available when you create assets yourself. You are essentially limited to choosing from several templates and adding your branding and product images to them rather than creating anything bespoke.
- Copy Adjustments Needed:
AI-generated copy, while efficient, does not always align with your brand voice and may require you to adjust or even rewrite it completely. This extra step can add time to the process and requires you to still have a degree of human oversight. - Dependence on Input Quality:
The effectiveness of AI-generated content is directly influenced by the quality of the input data you provide. As the Adcreative.ai platform scrapes data from your website to generate ad assets, the better quality your website content is, the better your ad content will be. Similarly, the higher quality product images you provide, the better photo and video assets you will be able to generate.
Final Verdict
Adcreative.ai is an excellent tool for advertisers, marketers, and small businesses that are looking to scale their online campaigns.
The photo and video creation features are particularly powerful and will allow businesses to compete with much larger brands without needing to hire professional photographers and graphic designers.
However, its customization options are limited and may not suit every brand’s needs. I’m hoping that they expand the ability to customise the assets you create further as time goes on.
Even with that caveat, the price (which starts at $29 per month) is less than hiring a professional designer or photographer for even an hour.
The text asset generation features for PPC ads are a nice add-on and are certainly better than those offered by Google themselves, but they feel a little underpowered compared to the complexity of the photo and video asset features. That said, they are nice to have.
Overall, I would say Adcreative.ai is a must for any business that needs visual assets for its digital marketing campaigns. Try Adcreative.ai out for yourself today for free.
