SEO & Paid Ads Case Study: Insurance Claim Solutions

For the past few years, we have managed search engine optimisation and online ads for Insurance Claims Solutions (ICS). ICS is an insurance loss assessor and claims manager. They handle insurance claims on behalf of their clients, helping to assess losses and navigate the paperwork and time-consuming aspects of the claims process, which can be daunting to those without the required expertise. This service helps their clients obtain the insurance settlement amount they are entitled to. 

When ICS first approached us, they were working with another local agency but were unhappy with the amount they were spending and the lack of return on their investment. We proposed a 2-pronged strategy of SEO and PPC. 

Paid Ads

When we took over their account, we quickly discovered that a huge amount of their ad spend was on image-based ads, and the images in use were clickbait type images of house fires. This was attracting clicks from anyone and everyone, meaning their budget was being wasted on irrelevant clicks and the ads were failing to reach their target audience.

ICS presented us a challenge as most of our online ads campaigns are focused on connecting potential customers with businesses that provide the services they are looking for – but a lot of people don’t even realise that a company like ICS exists. Just targeting Google searches for “insurance assessors” or “insurance claims management” would generate a few leads, but not many. 

To address this, we broadened the scope of their keywords to target searches that would suggest the user might benefit from ICS’ services. Searches like “how long does an insurance claim take” or “insurance company rejecting claim” would suggest that the user needed professional insurance claim management services. 

We built specific landing pages for different insurance categories, so people needing help with fire insurance claims would be sent to a different landing page than those looking for help with a flood insurance claim. 

While it took a little while to find the right mix of keywords, landing pages, and ad text to capture their ideal customers, ICS now regularly get 75+ leads a month from our Google Ads. 

SEO

While out PPC team worked on ICS’s ads, our SEO team endeavoured to maximise the number of organic enquiries they could achieve thorough Google searches. This included making updates to their website to include more text related to Brighton, Sussex, and London to increase their rankings in those locations. 

Our SEO team increased the site’s internal linking, improved navigation, and engaged in a link building campaign to better demonstrate ICS’s expertise, authority, and trust. 

Over the past few years, we have continued to optimise Insurance Claim Solutions’ SEO and PPC campaigns and helped them win hundreds of qualified leads.
