eGo Bike is an online service for renting or purchasing electric bikes. This was a new business with no existing website or branding. So, we worked with them to help find a visual style and tone of voice that best communicated the attitude of their company.
An illustrative theme was chosen and so our designers began work finding a selection of images which would fit with this style. Our developers began building the e-commerce backend of the website. They ensured that a single e-commerce interface would be able to handle both purchases and rentals of a variety of different product categories, each with different shipping rates calculated at the moment of checkout, depending on the customer’s location.
We also implemented a booking system for the rental bikes with an interactive calendar which would automatically update, greying out days when no more bookings were available. A bike routes page was also added, allowing eGo Bike to recommend cycling routes to new or existing customers.
